| Welcome to The White Tower.com! We were founded in June 2000 by Meg Lurvey when she was 18, the summer after high school graduation. Our first web address ever was http://communities.com/TheWhiteTower. For the first two years the Tower was entirely contained on one site. As we grew, we expanded, and when MSN closed their Groups and migrated to Multiply in 2008 we had 27+ sites including a Black Tower site, and one for the world "Outside Tar Valon" In November 2008 Meg purchased the current domain, www.The-White-Tower.com and started moving everything over to the new server. Our domain is hosted by Yahoo Small Business and PHPNuke. About 3/4 of our members from MSN Groups came over with us. Our site is dedicated to WoT fans around the world who enjoy writing role-plays in a "Randland" setting. We have writers from the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, and several other countries around the world. We are constantly grwoing, expanding, and changing. Every one of our writers have contributed something to the creation and greatness of The White Tower, and without them we would cease to exist, a thread snipped from the Pattern. |
